Welcome to FedMaps, an autonomous body dedicated to enhancing the trade of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) across the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries. Our mission is to foster collaboration among all stakeholders—farmers, traders, researchers, and policymakers—to promote a vibrant and sustainable MAPs industry.

  2. Consulting trade sector about Acts and Laws governing the trade.
  3.  Advising government on initiatives for betterment of sector.

Information, Education & Capacity Building

  1. Organizing of events i.e. exhibition, conference, seminar etc.
  2. Arranging workshops and training programs.
  3. Publishing stakeholder directory of MAPs sector.

Infrastructure & Markets

  1. Consulting to establish production units as per GMP and WHO-GMP standards.
  2.  Consulting with Government agencies for establishing & upgrading markets.
  3.  Creating platforms for knowledge exchange and trade globally.

Stakeholders Database Management & Networking

  1. Updating national and global database of importers and exporters.
  2. Creating networking opportunities for MAPs stakeholders.
  3. Maintaining market intelligence information of various markets in India & abroad.

OUR PROPOSED ACTIVITIES

  • Develop strategies and guidelines for cultivation and sustainable collection of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs).
  • There is need to establish portal and a database on the demand and supply of MAPs. Training of stakeholders and updating them through a bulletin in regional languages.
  • Making authentic seedling and seed material available to the cultivators and setting up of regional mandis / markets.
